Araghchi: Iran’s Strikes Target Only US Interests

Tehran - BORNA - Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s Foreign Minister, and Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

Based on a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Araghchi indicated that Iran’s missile strikes are targeting US interests and not the State of Qatar.

According to the statement, Qatar’s foreign minister rejected these remarks, stating that the attacks were not limited to missiles and that drone strikes are also ongoing, while fighter jets have violated Qatari airspace.

Qatar’s foreign minister emphasized that his country has turned to dialogue and diplomacy and has engaged in good faith with all parties, but will confront any violation of its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, or national interests.
