Iran–France FMs Hold Phone Talks on Regional Escalation
Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday morning with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to discuss regional developments following the joint military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

Tehran - BORNA - The French foreign minister reiterated his country’s position that the military attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran are inconsistent with international law and expressed hope that calm would be restored to the region as soon as possible.

Araghchi, outlining what he described as crimes committed by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people over the past five days — including the assassination of the Supreme Leader, the killing of a large number of Iranian citizens, among them more than 175 elementary school students in Minab, and attacks on hospitals, mosques, diplomatic police, and public service centers — stressed the responsibility of all governments and the United Nations to firmly condemn such actions.

The two sides also discussed several bilateral consular and diplomatic issues during the call.
