Putin, Pezeshkian Discuss Middle East Situation in Phone Call
The Kremlin announced that the presidents of Russia and Iran held a phone conversation to discuss developments in the Middle East.
Tehran - BORNA - The Kremlin said in a statement late Tuesday that Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation during which discussions continued on the situation in the Middle East, particularly regarding what the statement described as the aggression by Israel and the United States against Iran.
According to a report by Sputnik, the statement said that Putin reaffirmed his position in support of rapidly reducing tensions in the Middle East.
The Kremlin added that the Russian president reiterated his principled stance in favor of de-escalating tensions as soon as possible and resolving the situation through political means.
