Iranian Foreign Minister Calls UN Secretary-General to Discuss Regional Crisis
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday night regarding the latest regional developments and the continuation of the US and Zionist regime's military aggression against Iran, as well as developments in Lebanon.

Tehran - BORNA - The Foreign Minister pointed to the blatant violation of fundamental principles and rules of the UN Charter and international law due to the US and Zionist regime's military aggression against Iran, and recalled the UN's responsibility and the Secretary-General's personal duty to strongly and explicitly condemn this aggression and take action against the aggressors in accordance with Chapter VII of the Charter.

Araghchi called for the international community's attention to the main source of insecurity imposed on the region and the Strait of Hormuz, namely the military aggression by the US and Zionist regime, and stressed that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz cannot be considered without attention to the overall regional situation, as the disruption in shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is a result of the war imposed by the US and Zionist regime. Any country or international body concerned with peace and security must responsibly and without hesitation condemn the crimes of these two regimes and demand the cessation of their military aggression against the Iranian people.
