Pezeshkian: Dena destroyer martyrs to go down in history
President Masoud Pezehskian has offered condolences over martyrdom of Dena destroyer sailors, saying that the enemies will never achieve their goal of defaeting Iran.
Tehran - BORNA - In a message issued on Tuesday, Pezeshkian called for people's turnout to the funeral for Dena destroyer martyrs, describing those sailors as messengers of peace.
He said that the enemies must know that Iranian youth in thousands will take their place, stressing that the enemies' wish to defeat Iran will never come true.
A US navy submarine struck Iran's Dena destroyer while it was returning from a joint martime drill held in India near the waters of Sri Lanka.
