Tehran - BORNA - The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a message, conveyed condolences for the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, his son, and some of his colleagues.

Text of the Supreme Leader's Condolence Message:

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

"And never think that those who have been killed in the cause of God are dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provisions." (Quran 3:169)

With profound regret, I received the painful news of the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the Leader's Representative in that Council, his valiant son, and some of his colleagues. He was a knowledgeable, far-sighted, wise, committed individual with diverse experience across various political, military, security, cultural, and managerial domains. Nearly five decades of active participation at different layers of the Islamic System distinguished him as an exceptional figure.

The assassination of such a figure undoubtedly demonstrates his great importance and the enmity of Islam's enemies towards him. Let those who oppose Islam know that shedding this blood in the service of the towering Islamic System will only strengthen it further. And indeed, every drop of blood demands revenge, and the criminal murderers of the martyrs must soon pay the price for their heinous crime.

I sincerely convey my condolences to the honorable spouse, the other children of this great man, and other family members, especially His Eminence Ayatollah Ameli Larijani. I pray to God, the Almighty, for the elevated stations of the departed souls.
