Baghaei: U.S. Not Serious About Diplomacy
The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in an interview that no one can truly believe the statements made by U.S. officials, emphasizing that they are not serious about diplomacy.

Tehran - BORNA - Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with India Today: “The impact and consequences of the war on the global economy are directly due to the unlawful and reckless war that the United States and Israel have imposed on Iran and the entire region.”

He added: “I understand that the global economy is affected by what is happening in our region, but it is not our fault. You are concerned about oil prices and food prices, but we are concerned about the lives of our citizens. I must say that we have had a very disastrous experience with U.S. diplomacy.”

The Iranian Foreign Ministry official further stated: “Over a period of nine months, while we were in the middle of a negotiation process to resolve the nuclear issue, we were attacked twice. This was a betrayal of diplomacy. This phrase has now become very well known in Iran, because it did not happen once, but twice. Therefore, no one can trust U.S. diplomacy.”

Baghaei also addressed transit through the Strait of Hormuz, saying: “Vessels belonging to the United States, Israel, and other countries that in any way participate in or assist the aggression against Iran are not allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Other countries that have no connection with this act of aggression against Iran can pass.”
