PGCC Secretary General: Member States Will Not Participate in Military Action Against Iran
The Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) said that member states of the council have announced that they will not participate in any kind of military action against Iran.

Tehran - BORNA - Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC), said: the countries of this council have announced that they will not participate in any kind of military action against Iran.

He added: these countries have emphasized that they will not be a party to this conflict against Iran and have also informed Tehran of this matter.

He stated that the Persian Gulf countries have supported negotiations between the Iranian and American sides.

Al-Budaiwi stressed: we emphasize that the most rational and effective option is diplomacy and political means.

According to Al Jazeera, the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) Secretary General added: we have never sought to destroy or weaken Iran; rather, we have tried to achieve relations based on mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries.

He emphasized the necessity of involving Persian Gulf countries in any negotiations or agreements with Iran.

The remarks by the Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) regarding the non-participation of these countries in war against Iran come while military actions have repeatedly been carried out from the land and sky of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and others, contrary to international norms.

The Persian Gulf states, by hosting U.S. military bases on their soil, have in practice turned into a threat to regional security.

The leaders of these countries, before the start of the joint U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran on March 1, had assured officials of our country that no action would be taken against Iran from their territory; however, not only were military actions carried out, but they also claim that Iran should not respond to these movements.

At the same time, Iran has announced that any location from which action is taken against Iran will be considered a legitimate target for Iran in self-defense.
