IAEA Chief Grossi Urges Agreement with Iran as “Best Path Forward”
Tehran - BORNA - Grossi said in an interview with CNN on Sunday: “Reaching an agreement with Iran would be the best way forward; they are very rational and defend their interests.”
The IAEA chief emphasized once again that an agreement with Iran must be achieved, adding that the option for the United States should be to reach such an agreement.
Meanwhile, some relevant bodies in Iran, including the Islamic Consultative Assembly, are urgently reviewing the issue of withdrawal from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), with a growing conclusion in the country that there is no reason to remain in the treaty.
Earlier, Grossi had also described attacks on nuclear facilities in the West Asia conflict as “unacceptable” and called on the parties to return to diplomacy to achieve a sustainable solution to Iran’s nuclear issue.
