Nikzad: Iran and Lebanon are United; Cease of Aggression a Prerequisite for Talks
Tehran - BORNA - Ali Nikzad, the Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, highlighted the unity of purpose between Lebanon and Iran, remarking that "Hezbollah is the soul of Iran, and Iran is the soul of Hezbollah."
Speaking to Al-Manar, Nikzad stated that the country’s condition for any past or future negotiations is clear: a guaranteed and total halt to the aggression against Lebanon.
"The Iranian front and the front of southern Lebanon are one, and we do not accept their separation," he added.
He further noted that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz was carried out to achieve peace and tranquility for the Lebanese people.
Nikzad emphasized that control over the Strait of Hormuz is Iran's right and a "red line" that cannot be crossed, adding that Iran will reach agreements with regional countries regarding this matter.
He noted that U.S. President Donald Trump made a mistake in his decision to initiate aggression against Iran.
"He is now facing successive failures, and they will regret the days when oil was $120 per barrel," Nikzad concluded.
