Velayati: Trump is Ignorant of Global Economic and Political Realities

Tehran - BORNA - Ali Akbar Velayati, the Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, lashed out at Donald Trump’s recent rhetoric, stating that the U.S. President’s "absurd behavior and follies" cannot overshadow the prevailing geopolitical realities.

"The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Germany, the weakening of NATO, and the recurring technical failures in U.S. warships are all clear signs of the collapse of the White House’s delusions," Velayati remarked.

The senior official dismissed Trump’s recent threats of "famine" against Iran, describing them as proof of his profound ignorance of global affairs.

"Trump threatens Iran with famine while global food security and the vital supply chain of chemical fertilizers in the Strait of Hormuz are under Iran’s control. This reveals how disconnected he is from world economic and political dynamics."

Addressing the U.S. President directly, Velayati added: "Mr. Trump! The world of politics is not a movie set for characters like Jack Sparrow (in Pirates of the Caribbean). Anyone who plays with the world's lifeline will only find themselves in a strategic dead end."
