Iran: Only a Fair and Comprehensive Agreement is Acceptable
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi reiterated Tehran’s steadfast position, stating: "We will only accept a fair and comprehensive agreement."
Expressing gratitude for China’s stance, particularly its condemnation of U.S. and Israeli actions, Araghchi described China as a "close friend" of Iran. He emphasized that under the current circumstances, bilateral cooperation will grow even stronger.
"The war initiated against us is a clear act of aggression and a blatant violation of international law," Araghchi noted. He added that Iran would exert all efforts during negotiations to protect its legitimate rights and interests.
Araghchi's visit to Beijing follows a series of regional consultations aimed at addressing the ongoing conflict and mobilizing diplomatic support for Iran’s positions.
