Pakistani Interior Minister arrives in Tehran as Islamabad pursues serious mediation between Iran, U.S.
The Interior Minister of Pakistan arrived in Tehran on Saturday for a two-day official visit, as Pakistani official sources confirmed that Islamabad is earnestly pursuing its mediation mission to facilitate dialogue and restore regional peace.

Tehran - BORNA - Official Pakistani sources told the Al-Hadath news network on Saturday that Islamabad is determined to continue its mediation process with full seriousness, attempting to persuade both Tehran and Washington to demonstrate flexibility in negotiations. The sources confirmed that the visit of Pakistani Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi to Tehran falls directly within the framework of these diplomatic mediation efforts.

Upon his arrival at the airport, the Pakistani Federal Interior Minister was welcomed by his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, who extended the official greetings of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Following the welcoming ceremony, the two interior ministers held a bilateral meeting, conducting detailed discussions on Iran-Pakistan relations and the prospects for resuming peace talks. The meeting also reviewed matters of mutual interest, including sustainable regional peace and the latest regional developments.

During the talks, Iran's Interior Minister described the efforts of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir to resolve the ongoing conflict as sincere and committed, expressing high appreciation for Pakistan's active role in promoting regional peace and stability.

"Iran has always been a supporter of peace, and we deeply appreciate Pakistan's efforts in this regard. We view Pakistan's initiatives with great respect and admiration," Momeni stated during the meeting.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the historical and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, emphasizing the vital importance of continuous cooperation to advance peace, security, and prosperity across the region.

The high-level meeting was also attended by a number of senior Iranian government officials and representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran.
