Tehran, Islamabad hold high-level peace talks as Pakistani interior minister meets Pezeshkian
The Pakistani Interior Minister, who traveled to Tehran, held a private 90-minute meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss bilateral relations and regional peace mediation.

Tehran - BORNA - According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in the Iranian capital on Saturday and spent nearly three hours at the presidential office.

Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and the Foreign Minister were also present at the presidential palace during the visit.

As part of the visit, Mohsin Naqvi held a private meeting with President Pezeshkian, which lasted for about 90 minutes and was attended by his Iranian counterpart.

Pakistan and Iran held high-level talks concerning bilateral relations and a peaceful regional mediation mission. Naqvi's visit to Iran comes within the framework of Islamabad's ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue and promote stability in the region.

During the bilateral meeting between the interior ministers of Iran and Pakistan, detailed discussions were held regarding mutual relations and the prospects for resuming peace talks. The session also addressed matters of common interest, including sustainable regional peace and the latest developments in the area.

Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni praised the sincere and dedicated efforts of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir toward resolving the ongoing conflict, commending Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
