President to Army Chief: High operational readiness demonstrated Iran's defense authority

Tehran - BORNA - President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. During the meeting, the President hailed the bravery, self-sacrifice, and authoritative performance of the Iranian Armed Forces—especially the proud Army—in countering the aggressions and assaults of the U.S. and the Zionist regime, praising the decisive, intelligent, and deterrent responses of the military to the hostile actions of enemies.

The President described the role of the Army in securing national security, safeguarding territorial integrity, and enhancing defensive deterrence as decisive and strategic, stating: "The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly the faithful, popular, and revolutionary Army, demonstrated the country's defense authority during recent developments and threats through high operational readiness, intelligence mastery, command cohesion, and effective combat power, preventing enemies from achieving their sinister plots against the Iranian nation."

Pointing to the necessity of continuously strengthening defensive foundations and elevating the combat readiness of the Armed Forces, Pezeshkian emphasized: "The government stands alongside the Armed Forces with its full capacity and will support strategic programs aimed at promoting defensive power, logistical support, equipment modernization, strengthening operational infrastructure, and increasing the country’s deterrent capability."

The President also underscored the importance of coordination between executive bodies and the Armed Forces amid sensitive regional circumstances, adding: "Today, national cohesion, defense readiness, and maintaining the authority of the Armed Forces serve as the most crucial backbone for the country’s security, stability, and peace against threats and the hybrid warfare waged by enemies."

During the meeting, Major General Mousavi presented a report on the latest operational status, defensive measures, and missions of the Army in countering the aggressions and hostile movements of enemies. Outlining a portion of the operations and responses executed against the aggressors, he emphasized the full readiness of various Army units across different sectors.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Army further detailed the process of refitting, recovering, and upgrading the combat readiness of units during the ceasefire period, asserting: "Drawing upon field experiences, strengthening operational readiness, enhancing coordination among forces, and updating combat and logistical capacities, the Army is fully prepared to deliver a decisive, regrettable, and fitting response to any threat, aggression, or adventurous act against the country, in line with the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Major General Mousavi concluded by highlighting the jihadist, revolutionary, and self-sacrificing spirit of the Army personnel, noting: "The forces of the Army are ready with all their might to sacrifice their lives on the path of defending the security, independence, dignity, and territorial integrity of the country, as well as protecting the great nation of Iran, and they will not hesitate for a single moment in fulfilling their missions."
