Ex-US counterterrorism chief: Israel views potential US-Iran deal as a threat to its goals
The former head of the US National Counterterrorism Center warned that the Zionist regime will attempt to sabotage any potential peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

Tehran - BORNA - Joe Kent, the former director of the US National Counterterrorism Center who recently resigned from his post due to his opposition to the aggressive war against Iran, stated: "A potential agreement by Trump is good news, but Israel will view it as an existential threat to its objectives."

He continued: "To prevent the Israelis from neutralizing a potential peace agreement, we must cut off the military support that allows them to launch attacks against Iran. We must also make it clear that if they attack Lebanon, they will face greater deprivation."

As media speculation suggests a narrowing of differences between Iran and the US, alongside the possibility of a 60-day extension of the ceasefire in a potential agreement between the two sides, Kent added: "The next 60 days will reveal whether Washington is capable of exerting pressure on AIPAC (the largest Zionist lobby in the United States) or not."
