Ali Akbar Velayati, the Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for International Affairs, has emphasized that Iran's red lines are explicit, declaring that paper commitments and signatures are no longer valid guarantees and that the Strait of Hormuz stands as the definitive, objective guarantor of any diplomatic agreement.

Tehran - BORNA - In a statement published on his account on the X social media platform, the veteran diplomat and politician highlighted the historical resilience of the Iranian nation against foreign aggression.

"History bears witness that all invaders who arrived with visions of domination—from Alexander to Genghis Khan and Trump—were ultimately absorbed and dissolved into the rich digestion of Iran's civilization," Velayati wrote.

He further underscored that true nationhood is a deep-rooted, civilizational identity, stating, "Being a nation is a civilizational authenticity and deeply inherited; it is not a commodity that can be purchased or rented with petrodollars."

Turning to contemporary geopolitical confrontations and the ongoing diplomatic tracks, the Leader's senior advisor explicitly defined Tehran's terms for any sustainable settlement.

"Iran's red line is clear; this time, papers and signatures do not constitute guarantees," Velayati asserted. "The objective guarantor of an agreement's survival is the Strait of Hormuz. Geography does not lie, and it stands as the ultimate judge of any treaty written on paper."
