Araghchi Issues Stern Warning: Any Hostile Action Will Face Immediate, Decisive Response
Tehran - BORNA - The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran's military operations are strictly defensive, stating: "Our armed forces are conducting defensive strikes within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense against locations from which the United States is permitted to launch attacks on civilian shipping and violate the ceasefire."
The top diplomat underscored Tehran's unwavering stance against foreign pressure, adding: "Any hostile action will face an immediate and decisive response. What sanctions and war failed to achieve will certainly not be attained through further warfare."
The Foreign Minister's remarks come in direct response to recent statements made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a congressional hearing. Rubio explicitly acknowledged the extensive cooperation of certain Persian Gulf nations with Washington against Iran.
"In my view, our allies in the region have demonstrated very extensive cooperation," Rubio stated during the hearing. "Some of them, including the United Arab Emirates, have cooperated with a very active and serious approach. Kuwait has also performed excellently."
In light of these disclosures, Tehran’s latest warning serves as a clear signal to both Washington and neighboring states that allowing foreign forces to utilize their territories or airspace for hostile maneuvers against Iran will carry severe consequences.
