Supreme Leader: Everyone Must Neutralize the Enemy’s Plot Through Resilience and Preserving Unity
In a message on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, and the anniversary of the commencement of the leadership of Ayatollah Martyr Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized: "Everyone must neutralize the enemy's plot through resilience, clear-sightedness, preserving unity, mutual trust, and by refusing to echo the voice of the enemy."

Tehran - BORNA - The full text of the message by Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, was read by Hojjat-ol-Eslam Haj Ali Akbari to the gathering of pilgrims and lovers of the Imam and the Revolution at the Holy Shrine of the Imam.

The full text of the Supreme Leader's message on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, the 37th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, and the anniversary of the commencement of the leadership of Ayatollah Martyr Seyyed Ali Khamenei is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, Who made the perfection of His religion and the completion of His favor dependent upon the guardianship (Wilayah) of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him.

I congratulate all Muslims and lovers of the father of the Islamic Ummah, the Commander of the Faithful Ali—blessings and peace of Allah be upon him—in Iran and throughout the entire world on the auspicious Eid al-Ghadir, and I send peace and salutations to the pure soul of Imam Khomeini, may Allah's mercy be upon him.

This year marks the 37th Khordad 14 [June 4] that passes since the separation from the great Khomeini. It is also the first Khordad 14 in which the compassionate father of the Ummah, the disciple and the loyal, prominent companion of the school of the Imam, the grand and lofty martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah al-Uzma Seyyed Ali Khamenei—may Allah elevate his sublime station—has become a guest at the divine banquet, and the resonance of his ironclad voice and his wise, influential words is no longer heard at the Holy Shrine of the Imam. However, the collection of discourses and writings spanning the ten years of the founder of the Islamic Republic and the thirty-six years of the grand, martyred Leader constitutes an invaluable and unmatched treasure for all of us, and a guiding light for the path ahead.

First, today is Eid al-Ghadir, and it is Eid Allah al-Akbar (the Greatest Feast of God); the day of the promised covenant and the taken pledge, in which God defined the duty of managing society and the Islamic system, and brought about the perfection of religion and the completion of divine favor through the continuous guardianship and Imamate of the Infallibles, may the blessings of Allah be upon them all.

Ghadir is a reminder of the one whose every moment of his noble life, from his birth inside the Kaaba until achieving the bliss of martyrdom, was for God and in the path of God. Accordingly, following the revered existence of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny—he is considered the supreme exemplar and a comprehensive model across all periods of life for every single Muslim and believer. It is fitting and imperative that everyone, from young children to the elderly, and from ordinary members of society to elites and leaders, emulate him; just as the badge of honor in the lives of the two Leaders of the Revolution was precisely this emulation of that great figure.

Second, today is the anniversary of the passing of the Imam of the Ummah, may Allah's mercy be upon him, and a precious opportunity for reflection and dialogue surrounding this renowned yet lesser-known personality. A highly charismatic personality whose deep understanding and recognition of his luminous path and goal serve as the guiding light for the future of Islamic Iran. Yet, many members of the nation who are in their youth have not had the grace of experiencing him directly, and even many of those who did experience the era of his lifetime have seldom reached the depth of the personality and line of the Imam.

God the Almighty states: "Say, I only advise you of one thing: that you stand up for God, in pairs or individually." In this noble verse, God, Blessed and Exalted be He, addresses the Grand Messenger—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny—saying: Tell the Ummah I only advise you of a single matter, which is to rise up for God, whether two by two or each one alone. This noble verse is the opening of the first message and one of the oldest documents in which the matchless personality of the righteous servant and the great spirit of our era and time, the Leader of the Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic, invited the Iranian nation to rise up for God.

Yes, rising up for God (Qiyam lillah) is the foundation of the school of the Imam, and among the most important existential outcomes and blessings of his being are the guidance, training, and profound impact on society based on this very foundation. This very divine movement is the source of the descent of lordly blessings and attentions, and the flowing of the sunnah of the True God—Exalted and Glorified be He—in guiding society toward the path of truth: "And those who strive for Us—We will surely guide them to Our ways." And is it not true that the most important widespread movements and the awakening of the Iranian nation took place during the eras of the great Khomeini and the grand, martyred Khamenei, under their direct or indirect guidance?

What immense force could have awakened a slumbering nation, mesmerized by arrogance and colonialism, under conditions where blockade, suffocation, and all-encompassing dependency on the West prevailed on the 15th of Khordad 1342 [June 5, 1963]? What power of attraction could have drawn millions of people into the streets on the 12th of Bahman 1357 [February 1, 1979] to welcome, and on the 14th of Khordad 1368 [June 4, 1989] to bid farewell to the Imam of the Ummah?

And in the latest astonishing example, what robust force and iron will was it that, from the dawn of the 10th of Esfand 1404 [March 1, 2026], resurrected the Iranian nation and brought them into the arena in such a way that, with a lofty motivation and after the passage of more than three months, they remain passionately present in the arena to seek vengeance for their martyred Leader and other blood-shrouded martyrs, and to safeguard the sanctity of the Islamic system and their beloved homeland, solidifying ranks of tens of millions of self-sacrificing souls to fulfill the ideal of the martyred Leader, establish truth, and rise up for God?

Yes, it was the great Khomeini and the grand, martyred Khamenei who discovered and revived this talent and readiness within the beloved nation of Iran, and always held it in special esteem. The great Imam, who undoubtedly guarded what flowed from his pen with his exemplary piety, put forward a grand claim in his will and testament, writing: "I claim with boldness that the Iranian nation and its millions-strong mass in the present era are better than the people of Hijaz in the era of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny—and Kufa and Iraq in the era of the Commander of the Faithful and Hussein ibn Ali, peace and blessings of Allah be upon them both."

Today, the entire beloved nation is proud that, through its fresh resurrection alongside the Resistance Front, it has become a source of pride before the conscious eyes and free nations of the world, making the truth of this passage from Imam Khomeini’s testament manifest once again. In the words of the martyred Leader—may Allah elevate his sublime station—that powerful hand which was able to stir the vast ocean of the nation was the ironclad personality, the assured heart, and the Zulfiqar-like tongue of the great Imam and the grand Khomeini, which managed to bring millions of human beings into the arena, keep them in the arena, and teach them the direction of the movement.

And of course, another example of this type of influence belongs to our own beloved Khamenei, who stepped into the path of his righteous predecessor and, through nearly four decades of leading the Revolution and the Islamic system, relying on the youth and deepening and elevating the level of the people's insight and attitude, brought society to such a level of readiness that following the grand event of his martyrdom, a new benchmark of resurrection for the Iranian nation took form.

Yes, the school of our beloved Khamenei is the very school of the great Khomeini in the continuation of pure Muhammadan Islam—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny—the foundation of which is rising up for God, and the students of this school stand rank upon rank, ready to establish truth, eradicate falsehood, and wage jihad along this luminous path. The Imam, may Allah's mercy be upon him, was the initiator of a great and historic transformation at the level of Iran, the Islamic Ummah, and the world, which the martyred Leader—may Allah elevate his sublime station—proceeded to deepen, expand, and sustain, undertaking system-building and society-processing for its evolution and realization.

In this regard, His Excellency, in addition to keeping the school of the Imam alive in words, pen, and action across his various meetings, transformed Khordad 14 into an opportunity for the nation’s annual covenant with Imam Khomeini, explaining and expounding a matrix of principles, policies, and guidelines of the Imam's school. Among some of its occasionally repeated teachings was that the Iranian nation is a faithful, intelligent, and courageous nation; and that the people are the true owners of the country and the source of its power; and that these people can bring about any correct transformation they pursue, giving material reality to the slogan "We Can" in various fields. Among those other teachings was the necessity of supporting the oppressed as an Islamic, human, and Iranian duty, and that the system of arrogance, with America at its head, has an issue with this nation, its distinguished identity, and its unyielding nature.

Yes, the system of arrogance—which built a garrison named Israel nearly eighty years ago—does not accept the existence of a strong, independent Iran endowed with all kinds of advantages on the eastern border of the hollow and false geography of "Greater Israel," meaning the east of the Euphrates, and spares no effort in taking any action to prevent its progress. In this very space, I say to the beloved nation that the malicious enemy, now that he has suffered defeat in the confrontation with your brave children in the Armed Forces, and particularly because of facing a decisive blow both in the military battle and in the arena and the street, is experiencing a deeply meaningful and profound humiliation which has caused the tangible divergence of countries away from him. Consequently, he has concentrated his deception in the hybrid war on two points: one, the resilience of the people; the other, creating errors in the calculation apparatus of the country's officials.

His primary tool in both of these is planting the seeds of doubt, despair, fear, suspicion, and division. Therefore, in the position of confronting these malevolences, everyone must neutralize his sinister plot through resilience, clear-sightedness, preserving unity, cohesion, mutual trust, and by refusing to echo the voice of the enemy. In this position, the role of officials in supporting these matters is highly vital. Any action that causes pessimism and disillusionment among the members of the public is considered a form of assistance to the enemy of this country and its people.

Now, a fresh opportunity has been provided throughout the world to practically introduce and realize the school of the great Khomeini and our beloved martyred Khamenei as the oppressed yet powerful and, of course, victorious leaders of the Islamic Revolution. This important role rests upon the shoulders of all members of the nation, especially the youth, elites, and people of thought, intellect, and art, so that based on this very school, trusting in the promises of God, under the shadow of the attentions of our Master [Imam Mahdi]—may God hasten his sacred advent—and in the path of pure Islam, meaning the luminous line drawn during the two-hundred-and-fifty-year presence of the owners of infallibility and supreme guardianship—may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon them all—they may build the brilliant future of our beloved Iran.

I ask God the All-Powerful to grant this resurrected nation ultimate victory and the magnificent peaks of progress and grandeur, to associate the celestial spirits of the two Leaders of the Revolution and the pure souls of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, especially the martyrs of the second and third Sacred Defenses, with their Master, the Commander of the Faithful Ali—blessings of Allah be upon him—and to make the sacred and luminous heart of our Master, the Master of the Time, pleased with the Iranian nation, and to benefit this beloved nation and its servants from the special prayers and intercession of his eminence, by His favor and generosity; and peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
