Tehran - BORNA - The morning session of the second day of the Asian U23, Junior, and Paracanoe Sprint Championships in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, concluded with Iran's national canoeing athletes securing 8 colorful medals.

Abbas Hosseini competed in the U23 Men's K1 1000m final against opponents from Chinese Taipei, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, India, and Tajikistan. Clocking a time of 3:45.218 minutes, he finished in second place to claim the silver medal. Representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan finished first and third, respectively.
