Path to victory passes through resilience and martyrdom: Ghalibaf
Tehran - BORNA - The message of Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Parliament, to the commemoration ceremony of the "Martyrs of Authority"—marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of commanders, scientists, and a number of compatriots in the 12-day war—is as follows:
"In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful 'Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; of them some have completed their vow, and some still wait, but they have never changed in the least.'
June 2025 and the night of our comrades' ascension once again revived the grief and epic of the early years of the Revolution, the cowardly assassinations, and the unequal imposed war in the historical memory of the Iranian nation; days and nights when, one after another, a candle from the gathering of companions was extinguished, but the lamp of the Revolution and the path of the Iranian nation's movement continued brighter than ever before.
Long nights that targeted hope, but left behind stars by which, in the words of the martyred leader of the Ummah, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, one can find the path and pass through the darkness.
The Iranian nation stood firm, and the veterans of the eight-year Sacred Defense found the path through the light of these very stars and built an Iran that stood against major powers and well-equipped, ostentatious armies of the world, proving that victory is determined in the battlefield of wills.
But what we went through involved pure blood the likes of which history has rarely seen; names that became eternal in the memory of this land after years of tireless struggle, bravery, and resilience. Men like Mohammad Bagheri, Hossein Salami, Gholamali Rashid, Gholamreza Mehrabi, Mehdi Rabbani, Amirali Hajizadeh, Ali Shadmani, Mohammad Kazemi, Saeid Izadi, and other martyrs who, alongside the vast multitude of shroudless martyrs, were recorded in the history of this land.
Powerful and mujahid commanders who, alongside selfless scientists like Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi, Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, and a group of heroes from the arena of science and knowledge, left us alone sooner than expected.
The will of the Almighty God was for proud Iran to continue its path even without the presence of these dear ones and stand against the enemies; and today, the final victory lies ahead and this battle still continues.
Now, the bright stars of Iran's sky show us the way once again and guide us along the path of the remarks of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
The first, second, and third imposed wars showed the world that the path to victory passes through the heart of resilience and martyrdom, awakening nations and strengthening wills as the people rise and the streets become the backbone of the battlefield.
When the path is clear and the divine promise is our backing, just as the blood of Imam Hussein and his companions caused the survival of Islam, the lives of the commanders, scientists, and all martyrs are the guarantee for the continuation of this path and the realization of the final victory.
The clear witness to this truth is the current status of Iran, where despite the martyrdom of commanders and scientists, neither the movement of science and knowledge stopped nor the defensive capability and deterrence of the country decreased; and any aggression is responded to decisively and immediately.
The dignity of Iran, the endurance of Islam, and the awakening of the nations of the world depend on this very resistance, self-sacrifice, and reliance on the divine promise.
In conclusion, I send greetings to the pure souls of all martyrs, especially the Martyrs of Authority, and I pray to Almighty God for the increasing dignity of Islamic Iran, the long life with dignity of the great leader, and the endurance of the Iranian nation on this luminous path.
'And another favor which you love: help from Allah and a speedy victory; and give good news to the believers.'"
