Pezeshkian congratulates Russia on National Day
Tehran - BORNA - In his message to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pezeshkian extended his congratulations on Russia Day, stating: "I am confident that the strategic partnership between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, which was demonstrated across various regional and international arenas over the past year, will continue to expand in all fields through mutual determination and efforts, further developing and deepening in line with the shared interests of the people of our two nations."
Celebrated annually on June 12 since 1992, Russia Day commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR) on June 12, 1990. The adoption of this declaration by the First Congress of People's Deputies marked the beginning of constitutional reforms in Soviet Russia, which ultimately led to full independence in 1991.
