Official Schedule Announced for Funeral of Martyred Revolution Leader

The Office for the Preservation and Publication of the Works of the Martyred Leader has released the detailed schedule for the state farewell, funeral processions, and burial ceremonies of the Martyred Leader of the Revolution.

Tehran - BORNA - According to Announcement No. 3 issued by the "Commemoration Committee for the Bloody Ascension of the Mujahid Imam, the Martyred Supreme Ayatollah, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei," a multi-city state funeral will be held across Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, culminating in the final burial inside the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

The official statement reads:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; of them some have completed their vow, and some still wait: but they have never changed [their determination] in the least."

Following the bloody ascension of the Grand Authority of the Shia World, the Wise Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the Flagbearer of the Front of Truth and Resistance, the Mujahid Imam, the Martyred Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, the Islamic world mourns the loss of a great man who spent his entire blessed life elevating the word of truth, defending Islam, serving the people, and guiding the Islamic Ummah. That martyred leader, with firm faith, sincere jihad, steadfast patience, and divine insight, always kept the flag of independence of our beloved Iran, and the guidance and honor of the Islamic Ummah, raised high. The name and memory of that unique figure of the era will remain everlasting in the history of beloved Iran, the Islamic world, and in the hearts of the free people of the world.

The Commemoration Committee for the Bloody Ascension of the Mujahid Imam, the Martyred Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, while extending condolences to the Holy Presence of Wali al-Asr (AS), the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and all free and truth-loving nations, expresses its deepest gratitude and appreciation for the passionate and loyal presence of the mobilized people of Islamic Iran and all devotees of Islam and the Revolution.

Following the previous announcements of this committee and with regard to the planning undertaken, it is informed to the honorable and mourning public that the ceremonies of farewell, funeral, and burial of the pure body of the Martyred Mujahid Imam and his honorable family members—the great martyrs Dr. Mesbah-al-Hoda Bagheri-Kani, Seyyedeh Bushra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad-Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani—will be held as follows:

Procession and Burial Schedule

Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, 2026 (Corresponding to Muharram 19 and 20): The public farewell ceremony with the pure body at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla in Tehran.

Monday, July 6, 2026 (Corresponding to Muharram 21): The funeral and public procession ceremony in Tehran.

Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (Corresponding to Muharram 22): The funeral and public procession ceremony in the holy city of Qom.

Thursday, July 9, 2026 (Corresponding to Muharram 24 / Eve of the Martyrdom of Imam Sajjad AS): The funeral procession ceremony in the holy city of Mashhad and the final burial inside the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS).

The general public, the free people of the world, devotees of the school of Islam, and those who love Iran are invited to attend these grand ceremonies to see off the Martyred Leader.

In conclusion, while thanking the extensive preparations and planning by the responsible institutions and popular groups for holding this event, it is emphasized that the main role in holding these ceremonies will be borne by the honorable and always-present people as the main owners of the mourning, and a magnificent and unique manifestation of a popular event will be recorded, God willing.
