Pezeshkian: The 12-Day War Proved That When It Comes to Iran, We Are One Nation and One Beating Heart
Tehran - BORNA - President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a message marking the first anniversary of the 12-day imposed war and honoring the memory of the martyrs of this battle, pointed to the miscalculations of the Zionist regime at the beginning of this war, clarifying: "The enemy imagined that by targeting high-ranking military commanders, prominent nuclear scientists, and attacking the country's infrastructure and residential areas, it could weaken the will of the Iranian nation. However, the resilience of the people, the guidance of the leadership, and the readiness of the armed forces prevented these goals from being realized."
The President described the 12-day war as a symbol of national unity and emphasized that the Iranian nation, regardless of any taste or viewpoint, acted as one in defending the country.
Pezeshkian also expressed his gratitude for the patience of the people in facing economic problems and pressures, clarifying that over the past year, despite numerous limitations and difficulties, the government has endeavored to stand alongside the people and provide solutions to the country's challenges.
Citing the emphases of the Supreme Leader regarding the necessity of preserving national cohesion, upgrading defensive capabilities, and maintaining public vigilance, the President identified these components as the most crucial requirements for successfully navigating the challenges ahead, expressing hope that Iran will continue its path of progress and pride by relying on empathy, the capabilities of its youth, and its social capital.

Great, Patient, and Proud Nation of Iran!
On this day last year, the occupying Zionist enemy, driven by entirely flawed calculations and a clear delusion, imagined that by assassinating high-ranking military commanders, targeting top-tier nuclear scientists, and ruthlessly assaulting our infrastructure and residential areas, it would be able to bend the upright stature of this nation and break the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, what unfolded was the epic resilience of a nation that, with faith, the wise guidance of the martyred leader, and the readiness of the self-sacrificing armed forces, drew a line of cancellation across the enemy's raw imaginations.
The 12-day imposed war proved once again that beyond any taste or perspective, when our beloved Iran is at stake, we are one nation, one clenched fist, and one beating heart. It was this comprehensive defense and sacred cohesion that frustrated the ruthless enemies of this land and water, ultimately forcing them to accept a ceasefire.
Dear and Honorable People of Iran!
In my capacity as your servant, I know very well that over the past year, you have endured many hardships. Your patience in the face of economic bottlenecks and pressures was a great test for us and a heavy responsibility. I speak to you honestly; during all these difficult months, the government you placed your trust in was also faced with numerous limitations and pressures, but not for a single second did it close its eyes to your hardships.
Your servants in the government have strived with all their might, day and night, to stand shoulder to shoulder with you, to reduce the burden of your problems, and to find solutions for the various challenges of the country under today's complex conditions. Our covenant with you is a firm and unbreakable covenant; we will not leave you alone in times of hardship and bottlenecks, just as you did not leave beloved Iran alone.
Today, following that twelve-day resilience and the historic epic of defense in the Third Imposed War—just as the Grand Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei emphasizes—"preserving national cohesion, upgrading defensive capabilities, and maintaining public vigilance" are the most vital requirements for victoriously passing through the challenges ahead.
On the anniversary of the start of the 12-day war imposed against these borders, I bow before the greatness and glory of a nation that once again astonished history with its resistance, and I honor the memory and names of the esteemed martyrs who defended the dignity, independence, and security of this land, especially the high-ranking martyrs of this war; those who, with their pure blood, added an everlasting epic to the record of honors of this great nation.
Undoubtedly, the lasting and unique asset of this country is the unparalleled solidarity of the people, the matchless talents of the youth, and hope for brighter tomorrows. Just as we passed proudly and victoriously through the crucible of difficult past trials, we will continue in the future, relying on faith and empathy, to keep the flag of pride and glory of this system and country flying high.
