Araghchi: Iran's diplomatic strength rests on the shoulders of the people

Tehran - BORNA -  Seyed Abbas Araghchi, while appreciating the efforts of the Islamic Propaganda Coordination Council for organizing this meeting, honored the memory of the martyrs of three imposed wars against the Iranian nation, especially the martyrs of the recent war.

Referring to the achievements of the 12-day imposed war and the recent war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, he stated: "The Iranian nation did not merely achieve field and tactical victories in this battle, but also succeeded in securing valuable strategic achievements whose effects are observable in regional and global equations."

The Foreign Minister said that one of the most important outcomes of this war was the collapse of the enemy's narrative about Iran, adding: "For years, efforts had been made to create an image of a weak, isolated, and vulnerable Iran in global public opinion – a country that, under the pressure of sanctions and economic problems, lacks the ability to resist threats. But recent events completely shattered this portrayal and displayed the reality of the Islamic Republic of Iran's power."

Araghchi stated: "Today, many officials and political observers in the region and the world acknowledge that Iran has emerged from this war more powerful and cohesive. This shift in perception is not merely due to the country's defensive capabilities; it is rooted in the resilience, solidarity, and resistance of the Iranian nation, which served as the country's main support during difficult days."

Emphasizing that the enemy sought to impose its will and force Iran into submission, he said: "The main goal of the war's architects was to break the will of the Iranian nation and create instability in the country's structure – a goal that failed due to the people's presence on the scene and a rare display of national unity."

The Foreign Minister noted: "What took shape during the days of war in the streets, public gatherings, and scenes of popular support for the country sent a clear message to the world – a message that the Iranian nation will stand more united and resilient than ever in the face of pressure and threats."

He added: "This social capital and national cohesion is today one of the most important components of the Islamic Republic of Iran's power on the international stage, and naturally, the stronger this popular backing, the greater the country's negotiating power and diplomatic influence will become."

In another part of his speech, referring to regional security developments, Araghchi stated: "The experience of the recent war showed that regional security cannot be formed on the basis of eliminating or ignoring Iran. Regional countries have gradually come to realize that sustainable security, economic development, and regional stability are only possible through cooperation, understanding, and consideration of the common interests of all regional countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He added: "The new security structure of the region requires the participation of all regional countries and a cooperative approach, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized this approach."
