Vance Arrives in Switzerland
Tehran - BORNA - While the Iranian delegation arrived in Zurich a few hours ago, JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, has also arrived in Switzerland to begin negotiations with Iran.
Meanwhile, informed sources told the CNN news network that the negotiations in Switzerland will begin with an emergency meeting on Lebanon.
An informed diplomat regarding this meeting told CNN on Sunday that an emergency meeting on Lebanon has been added to the negotiations in Switzerland and will be the first topic to be addressed.
Before departing for Switzerland, the US Vice President said that one of the priorities is progress on the ceasefire in Lebanon, which has once again been targeted by the missile attacks of the Zionist regime. Iran emphasizes that ending the conflict in Lebanon is "the most important topic on the agenda of the Iranian delegation."
Before boarding the plane, Vance had also said: "I look forward to starting technical negotiations with the representatives of Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar. We hope to make progress on both the nuclear issue and the issue of the Lebanon ceasefire. These two axes are the most important topics that I think will be our focus."
The Iranian negotiating delegation arrived in Zurich, Switzerland, on Saturday afternoon, led by the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, with the aim of following up on the implementation of commitments within the framework of the memorandum of understanding on ending the war.
