UK Prime Minister Starmer resigns
Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, announced his resignation today (Monday) in a speech at Downing Street.
Tehran - BORNA - Keir Starmer, speaking in front of his office at Downing Street, said: "Every decision I have made has been to prioritize the country I love. That is why I will resign as leader of the Labour Party."
He said: "I announce my resignation as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I ask the Labour Party to set a timetable for selecting my successor, with the nomination process beginning on July 9."
