The President stated that the visit to Pakistan is aimed at appreciating the efforts made by that country's government in finalizing the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States and pursuing the rights of the Iranian nation. He said that Iran seeks full implementation of the clauses signed within the framework of international law and the rights of the Iranian people.

Tehran - BORNA - Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking before departing for Pakistan on Tuesday morning, referred to the objectives of this visit and said: "This visit, made at the invitation of Pakistan's Prime Minister, comes after extensive efforts by Pakistan's Prime Minister, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and the Pakistani government to coordinate and finalize the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States."

Pezeshkian stated: "The process that Pakistani officials pursued to secure the rights of the Iranian nation played an unparalleled role in finalizing this memorandum. The efforts made by these dear ones were such that perhaps their concern for reaching an agreement and establishing peace in the region exceeded our own concern."

The Iranian President added: "This visit, in addition to appreciating Pakistan's cooperation, aims to follow up on the continuation of the path so that all clauses of the memorandum are implemented within the framework of international law and the rights of the Iranian nation, and what has been signed is fully operationalized."

Pezeshkian said: "The implementation of this memorandum can reduce many of the existing problems in the region and the Middle East, and provide grounds for strengthening regional stability and security amid ongoing unjust wars and Zionist regime aggression against Islamic countries."

The Iranian President emphasized: "What has been stressed in this memorandum is the prohibition of Zionist regime aggression against Islamic countries, and we hope that the process that has begun will lead to sustainable security in the region and the shortening of the hands of aggressors – a goal whose realization is among our fundamental duties."

He said: "In this visit, exchanges in trade, economic, cultural, security, military, as well as peace and security fields will be the focus of joint discussions and consultations."

The Iranian President emphasized: "The relations being expanded between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan, as well as with Islamic countries including Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and other regional countries, are being pursued in line with the approach emphasized by the Supreme Leader and is a priority on the government's agenda."
