Stating that the Islamic Revolution has emerged anew, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said: "Our people demonstrated a resilient face to the world, and this is now an opportunity for us to move past the reconstruction era following the war, leveraging this national solidarity."

Tehran - BORNA - Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, traveled to Baku yesterday (Wednesday, July 2) to participate in the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) Conference, where he met and held talks with Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Standing Against Great Powers is Possible

Pointing to the aggression of the US-Zionist enemy against Iran's territory and the enemy's war crimes throughout this conflict, Ghalibaf said during the meeting: "This war provided significant experiences for us and the Muslim nations of the region, including the fact that the only path to success is our cooperation across various political, economic, and security fields."

He continued: "This war demonstrated that if nations stand together and place their hope in God, it is possible to stand against great powers like the United States and predatory forces like the Zionists."

The Parliament Speaker emphasized: "Through its steadfastness, our nation succeeded in defeating the flawed calculations of the United States. The world witnessed the enemy's failure in military, political, economic, and diplomatic arenas. This is a reality that others are aware of today, which is the result of our national cohesion, solidarity, and divine assistance."

Overcoming the Reconstruction Era with National Solidarity

Ghalibaf noted that if this cohesion exists among all Islamic countries, such power will multiply manifold with divine aid.

Highlighting the public's participation in nightly gatherings, Ghalibaf said: "Since the first night of the war, for more than 110 nights, people in cities and villages have been taking to the streets to display their resistance and steadfastness."

He added: "From my perspective, the Islamic Revolution has emerged anew, and our people have shown a resilient face to the world. This is now an opportunity for us to successfully pass through the reconstruction era after the war with this national solidarity."

The Speaker expressed hope that bilateral relations between Iran and Azerbaijan would be upgraded in political, economic, and other sectors in the future, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.

Azerbaijani President: We Are Pleased with the Cessation of War Against Iran

For his part, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of the late Supreme Leader of the Revolution, honoring his memory, and added: "During the war, the government and nation of Azerbaijan stood beside Iran, and I held various communications with Mr. Pezeshkian."

He added: "We are pleased with the cessation of the war against Iran and wish for there to be no war in our region."

The Azerbaijani President concluded by saying: "I hope that through cooperation among Islamic nations, we will witness sustainable peace and succeed in enhancing relations among Muslim countries."
