Egypt's Foreign Minister: We support efforts to facilitate Washington-Tehran talks
Tehran - BORNA - Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Foreign Minister, emphasized: "We support efforts to facilitate negotiations between Washington and Tehran and are in daily contact with relevant parties."
According to Al Jazeera, he stated: "The ceasefire in Lebanon must be implemented, and Israel must withdraw completely."
In a phone call with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, Abdelatty also stressed the importance of fully implementing the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza and preparing conditions for moving to subsequent stages.
Abdelatty condemned the Zionist regime's aggressive actions in the West Bank and repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing opposition to annexation and settlement policies.
In other remarks, Abdelatty stressed that Egypt's security and stability are linked to Mediterranean and European Union security and stability, and Egypt continues its pivotal role in supporting regional security.
