Ayatollah Isa Qassim: Martyred Leader Ayatollah Khamenei Was a Devout Man of the Afterlife
Tehran - BORNA - Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, the most prominent religious authority of Bahrain, released an official statement concurrently with the start of the massive public farewell ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
In his statement, the Bahraini cleric described the late leader as a great scholar, an eminent jurist, a magnificent revolutionary, an astute politician, a wise leader, and a devout man of the afterlife.
Pointing to the participation of millions of people from across Iran and around the world in the mourning ceremonies, Ayatollah Isa Qassim emphasized that these vast crowds have gathered to bid farewell to a personality who dedicated his entire life to the service of Islam, the Muslim Ummah, and humanity.
According to a report by the Al-Lualua television network, the senior Bahraini religious authority described the martyred Leader as a righteous servant whose loss has profoundly grieved the hearts of all believers.
"The world will achieve guidance, goodness, security, peace, and human brotherhood only when the reins of affairs are in the hands of people like him and those who follow the authentic path of Islam," the statement read.
Ayatollah Isa Qassim underscored that during the era of occultation, Islamic teachings possess the unique capability to nurture exceptional personalities capable of leading human society based on divine values, describing the leadership of the late martyred leader as a prime example of this divine model.
Praising the historic roles of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei, the Bahraini cleric asserted that both leaders opened a path of salvation not just for the Iranian nation, but for all nations across the globe by working to realign society with Islamic principles.
He noted that genuine goodness, security, justice, and true liberation can only be realized under the teachings of Islam, adding that no other school of thought possesses the capability to offer these values to humanity.
Ayatollah Isa Qassim further stated that the lifelong struggles of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader carry an immense reward from God, as they offered their lives in the pursuit of divine pleasure and the guidance of humanity.
Turning to recent leadership developments, the Bahraini Shia leader explicitly pointed to the selection of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that he represents the direct continuation of the path, ideology, objectives, and sincerity of both his father and Imam Khomeini.
The top Bahraini religious authority concluded his statement by praying for the definitive victory, honor, and divine assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Resistance, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
