Vance Exposes Israeli Interference in U.S.-Iran Negotiations
Tehran - BORNA - J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, said on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast that the Israeli regime is "losing the battle for public opinion" in the United States. He noted that the U.S. president has also publicly made similar remarks.
During the interview, Vance warned against foreign interference, stating that while foreign governments often seek to shape U.S. policy, concern arises when American leaders allow foreign influence to "affect their judgment." He discussed his recent diplomatic efforts, pointing to a specific pushback against his policies.
"There is a real foreign influence campaign being funded to undermine the very deal that I have been pursuing," Vance said regarding his negotiations with Iran.
Emphasizing his domestic priorities amid these diplomatic backlashes, he added: "I represent Americans first, and that is the way that I have tried to do this."
The Target of Tel Aviv's Foreign Influence
Vance referenced a report by Time magazine published on Monday, which detailed the foreign influence campaign. He noted that a former staffer of Donald Trump's campaign had been paid by "certain elements in the Israeli government" to carry out targeted attacks against him.
"They attack me with an obsession, saying that we should not negotiate with Iran," Trump’s deputy said, pointing out that these attacks were aimed at disrupting his ongoing negotiations with Iran.
During his interview on the podcast, Vance strongly rejected these criticisms, adding: "A lot of the people who were taking that money were actually attacking me in ways that are totally untrue. You know, my reaction to that is, 'Well, go to hell.' I am going to do what I need to do for the American people."
Vance emphasized that he knows "without a shadow of a doubt" that individuals within the Israeli cabinet have sought to alter U.S. policy in order to sustain their military campaign.
"People have attacked me and said that I am under the influence of Qatar, under the influence of foreign governments, taking my marching orders from Tucker Carlson, and there is a whole lot of other nonsense," he said. "Foreign governments always try to influence the United States. Israel does it. Others do it... What bothers me is when American leadership allows that influence to affect their judgment and what they advocate for."
Vance added: "We know, without a shadow of a doubt, that certain people within the Israeli system are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion in order to keep the war going indefinitely."
Additionally, the U.S. vice president stated that he is deeply disappointed with Americans who claim that negotiating with the Iranians is "impossible."
