The spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Army said that strategic control of the Strait of Hormuz has become a public and national demand for the Iranian people, emphasizing that the armed forces will not back down from the rightful principles of the nation.

Tehran - BORNA - Addressing a passionate gathering of people in Amol County on Wednesday evening, July 15, during a commemoration ceremony for the martyred leader of the nation at the city's Qods Mosalla, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia added: "First of all, the .U.S. president must understand and respect the international rules and principles showing that the Strait of Hormuz is an inseparable geographical part of vast Iran, with which the people of ancient Iran share a deep historical bond, in order to receive respect in return."

Stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran will assume control and management of the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances, he noted: "The fact that the .U.S. president, in his ongoing rhetoric, declares 'we will take control of the strait and will also seize 20% of the value of each cargo ship' shows that the .U.S. president's primary and ultimate policy has been focused on trade in the Strait of Hormuz."

If U.S. Rejects Iran’s Lawful System in the Strait, It Will Remain Closed

The Army spokesman pointed out that the United States' declaration of violating the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and creating an illegal route in the south of the Strait of Hormuz reflects Donald Trump's arrogant nature aimed at creating insecurity in the Middle East.

"The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran entered this confrontation with authority, targeting violating vessels," Akraminia continued. "Until the United States accepts the lawful Iranian system and a mechanism based on the Iranian will is established over the Strait of Hormuz, this strait will remain closed."

General Akraminia asserted: "The shameful aggressions and mischief of the Americans cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The only solution for reopening the Strait of Hormuz is for the United States to comply with the terms of the signed memorandum of understanding at the Islamabad summit, cease its mischief and hostility, and accept the authority of Iranian laws."

Iranian Armed Forces Can Manage the Strait of Hormuz from Any Point

Warning the .U.S. president, Akraminia said: "The .U.S. government may think it can achieve its goal by targeting Iran's defensive and security bases inside the territorial land of the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, it must know that Iran's armed forces have the power and capability to protect and control the Strait of Hormuz from any point within the country's territory."

He added: "We promise the dear people of our country that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic stand firm on this strategy and will not allow the slightest .U.S. interference under any circumstances."

Imported U.S. Security Is Not Sustainable for Regional Countries

The Army spokesman also issued a warning to neighboring countries, saying: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has never sought war with neighboring countries and never will. However, our neighbors must also know that providing bases to the Americans and allowing strikes against Iranian soil is unacceptable and will not go unanswered."

General Akraminia continued: "Buying .U.S. weapons and dedicating sovereign territory to .U.S. bases in the region will certainly not create security for neighboring countries. They must know that imported security from the United States will not last for them."

Two Strategies of the Martyred Leader of the Revolution for the Armed Forces

The Army spokesman also highlighted two fundamental strategies outlined for the armed forces by the late martyred leader of the Revolution.

"The martyred leader of the Revolution placed great emphasis on strengthening combat and military capabilities," Akraminia said. "He believed that the children of Iran in the armed forces have so far brought two criminal and fully armed militaries of the world to their knees through complete resistance, which is a major achievement."

Pointing out that no country in recent years has dared to fire a single bullet at the United States, while Iran's armed forces completely destroyed and heavily damaged all 17 .U.S. bases in the region during the third imposed war, General Akraminia stated: "Through the wise measures of our martyred leader, the enemy was driven to desperation. Today, due to the resistance of the children of this homeland, the aggressive United States has seen all its strategies shattered, reaching a state of despair and helplessness."

He declared that the United States lacks a strategy for entering or exiting the war, adding: "Trump says something different every day, which shows a complete lack of military strategy for advancement or delivering a major surprise."

The Army spokesman noted that the public's uprising has caught the enemy by surprise.

"They wanted to force the people onto the streets by martyring the leader of the Revolution, assassinating senior officials, and bombing various parts of the country," Akraminia said. "Yet, for over 135 nights, the people have dealt a fundamental blow to the enemy."

He concluded: "The epic presence of the people in the country's squares and streets in relentless support of the Islamic system, the martyred leader, the leader of the Revolution, and the armed forces has completely surprised and bewildered the enemies."
