AP: Number of US troops wounded in war with Iran surpasses 500
A US official has told the Associated Press that the number of American forces wounded in the war with Iran has now exceeded 500.
Tehran - BORNA - This figure is higher than the official statistics published by the Pentagon in the Defense Casualty Analysis System, which currently records 482 wounded.
The US official, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to lack of authorization to speak to the media, explained that the system registers and publishes information on wounded personnel with a significant delay.
He claimed that this delay is due to the system's design and performance, and is not an intentional attempt to conceal casualty figures.
