Iran strongly condemns US, Saudi airstrikes on Iraq
Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned US and Saudi airstrikes on targets in Iraq, including facilities belonging to official Iraqi institutions and stations serving Arbaeen pilgrims, calling them a clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Tehran - BORNA - The ministry said the strikes constitute a flagrant violation of Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the UN Charter and fundamental international law, carried out in line with US and Zionist regime ambitions to expand the war across West Asia.
Expressing condolences for the Iraqi lives lost, Iran's Foreign Ministry affirmed its full solidarity with the Iraqi government and people, holding the US and its regional allies responsible for the dangerous consequences of these criminal and provocative acts.
