Iran president says citizens will shape country’s future
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised the nation’s resilience Saturday, marking the second anniversary of his administration taking office amid ongoing regional conflicts and foreign pressure.
Tehran - BORNA - Pezeshkian wrote in a post on X that his term began two years ago alongside the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran by the Israeli regime.
"Two years ago, the start of our work coincided with the assassination of our dear guest by the Zionist regime; two years in which imposed wars, pressures, and continuous hostility were inflicted on the people of Iran," Pezeshkian wrote.
He emphasized that despite successive hardships, "the real heroes were the people" and concluded that "the future of Iran will be determined by the people of Iran."
