Qatari Foreign Minister underscores implementation of Iran-US agreement in talks with Egyptian counterpart

Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and uphold the recent agreement between Iran and the United States during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.

Tehran - BORNA - According to a statement issued by the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place on Wednesday on the sidelines of an Arab ministerial meeting on Al-Quds in Amman, local media reported.

During the session, the two foreign ministers reviewed bilateral cooperation, discussed avenues for expanding ties, and addressed regional developments, focusing on joint Arab coordination to counter escalation by the Israeli regime against occupied Al-Quds.

The diplomats also exchanged views on ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions and consolidating regional stability and security.

The Qatari Foreign Minister stressed the importance of all sides maintaining dialogue and fully executing the terms of the agreement between Iran and the United States, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional stability and preserve achieved milestones.

Reaffirming Qatar’s position, Al Thani reiterated full support for all diplomatic endeavors directed toward reducing tensions and securing a comprehensive agreement for sustainable peace across the region.
