Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence announced the identification and arrest of 21 operatives affiliated with the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, alongside four armed gang members, in the southeastern province of Kerman.

Tehran - BORNA - According to an official statement released by the Ministry of Intelligence, the arrests were carried out following a series of complex intelligence and operational measures by security forces in Kerman Province, local media reported.

"Twenty-one mercenaries linked to the espionage and terrorist service of the Zionist regime (Mossad) were identified and arrested in a series of intelligence and operational actions by the Unknown Soldiers of Imam Zaman at the Intelligence Directorate General of Kerman Province," the statement read.

The ministry stated that the espionage network was tasked with gathering sensitive and classified data from strategic military and air defense installations across the country and transmitting it to Israeli intelligence.

In a concurrent operation, intelligence forces apprehended four armed individuals belonging to criminal networks in the province, seizing a quantity of military weapons, live ammunition, and hunting rifles.

The statement further revealed that as part of ongoing efforts against primary figures involved in the January 2026 coup attempt, security forces arrested five armed operatives connected to the plot, confiscating four military-grade firearms before transferring the suspects to judicial authorities.

The Ministry of Intelligence urged citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately to its news center by calling 113 or through its official verified social media channels across domestic messaging platforms.
