Majority of vessels navigate Iranian lane of Strait of Hormuz
According to data from vessel tracking system "Maritime Traffic," ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz declined sharply on Saturday and Sunday of this week.
Tehran - BORNA - The system stated that the number of vessels passing through the strait dropped from 15 on Friday to 11 on Saturday and just 6 on Sunday.
According to the data, the majority of these vessels navigated through the Iranian lane of the Strait of Hormuz.
During the same period, traffic through the Bab al-Mandab Strait—which connects the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean—remained higher, with approximately 116 vessels making the transit.
