Iranian official calls for Hormuz security framework independent of US
Mohammad Mokhber, advisor and assistant to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the most sustainable path to a new regional order is the implementation of an independent Hormuz economic and security mechanism free from U.S. military guarantees.
Tehran - BORNA - Mokhber shared his perspective regarding recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz in a post on his personal page.
"The Leader's definitive strategy to intensify military responses if Iran's conditions are not met will undoubtedly alter the global balance of power," Mokhber wrote.
Mokhber added that the demonstrated inability of the United States to protect its regional allies in the Persian Gulf underscores the need for an autonomous security framework.
He noted that establishing a sustainable regional structure relies on executing the Hormuz economic and security mechanism independently of Washington's military assurances.
