IRGC Navy Commander asserts full blockade of Strait of Hormuz, dismisses US statements
Rear Admiral Ali Azmayi, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, emphasizing that reality is defined by operational control on the ground rather than U.S. official statements.
Tehran - BORNA - Azmayi confirmed the ongoing closure of the strategic waterway, describing the navy's control over regional maritime movements as absolute and decisive.
"Our control over all movements is complete and decisive," Azmayi stated. "No movement in this strait escapes the oversight of the IRGC naval forces."
The commander dismissed official claims issued by Washington regarding vessel traffic, asserting that actual conditions in the field disprove American declarations.
"Reality must be observed on the ground, not in the announcements and statements of U.S. officials," Azmayi added.
