Iran Condemns Israel’s Latest Strikes on Lebanon, Calls for Immediate Withdrawal
Tehran - BORNA - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has strongly condemned the Zionist regime's brutal attacks on various regions in Lebanon, including Al-Ansar, Ali Al-Taher heights, Nabatieh al-Faouqa, and Deir el-Zahrani, which resulted in the martyrdom of eleven people, including three children and two women from the same family, and injured several others while destroying residential and civilian infrastructure.
Referring to the continuation of the Zionist regime's military aggression against Lebanon and its violation of the country's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Baghaei described the ongoing silence and inaction of the United Nations Security Council regarding gross violations of international law and international humanitarian law as regrettable. He emphasized the necessity of stopping the Israeli regime's aggressive actions in southern Lebanon and its immediate withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also praised the honorable resistance of the Lebanese people against the occupying regime's aggression, reiterating Lebanon's legal and legitimate right to use all means to defend its existence. Furthermore, he reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's solidarity with Lebanon in defending its national sovereignty, independence, and dignity.
