Iran's Parliament Speaker said the country achieved a real victory in both the military and political dimensions of the war, adding that the people have the right to enjoy this victory, but he believes they have not fully felt it as it happened.

Tehran - BORNA - Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf made the remarks at a gathering of parliamentary journalists on Saturday evening.

He said the US and the Zionist regime launched the war with nine clear and publicly stated objectives, but failed to achieve any of them. "This is the greatest absolute defeat for the US and the Zionist regime, and a great victory for us," he said.

Ghalibaf described the Iran-US memorandum of understanding as a document of pride and victory in the diplomatic field, adding that this victory was achieved through the efforts of the Iranian people, who came to the scene from day one and defended their country and revolution.

He said that while the people have the right to enjoy this proud victory, he believes the victory has not been properly conveyed to them. "When people ask, 'What happened?' it means we have not been able to narrate this great victory properly," he said, adding that this is the responsibility of journalists.

The Parliament Speaker said this victory was made possible by the martyrs, especially the martyred leader, who taught the nation thought, democracy, anti-arrogance, and service to the people.

Ghalibaf said the country has the capacity to move forward and that the sweetness of these victories will be tasted by the people through the narrations and efforts of journalists.

At the ceremony, Ghalibaf honored the sister of martyred journalist Fereshteh Bagheri, veteran parliamentary journalist Jafar Sharafshahi, the father of martyred journalist Sharafshahi, and the family of photographer Asghar Khamseh.
