Iran’s Central Bank Governor Meets Iraqi Prime Minister in Baghdad
Abdolnasser Hemmati, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, met with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Monday in Baghdad as part of his official visits to Iraq.
Tehran - BORNA - The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, several advisors, and Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq.
Both sides discussed the prominent financial and monetary challenges currently facing regional economies.
Prime Minister Al-Zaidi emphasized that his government is taking steps to position Iraq as a hub connecting the regional economic and development interests of neighboring nations, aiming to reinforce regional stability and halt conflicts.
Earlier during his visit to Baghdad, the Iranian Central Bank governor held separate discussions with his Iraqi counterpart, as well as Iraq's Ministers of Finance and Trade.
