Ghalibaf says Israeli regime will never realize ‘river-to-sea’ ambitions
Tehran - BORNA - Ghalibaf made the remarks in an Arabic-language post on X on Wednesday, sharing an image from the site near Baghdad International Airport where Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated.
“Dear Abu Mahdi and Haj Qassem! This is the fruit of your struggle and your blessed blood,” Ghalibaf wrote.
“In the new regional order following the Ramadan War, foreign interference in relations among countries is rapidly declining. US forces are seeking a dignified exit from the region, and the Israeli regime will never realize its river-to-sea ambitions, not even in its dreams.”
Ghalibaf traveled to Baghdad on Wednesday at the head of a high-level parliamentary delegation for talks on regional developments, strengthening strategic cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad, and exploring joint approaches to promoting stability and security in West Asia.
Upon arriving in Baghdad, the Iranian parliament speaker visited the site where Soleimani and al-Muhandis were assassinated to pay tribute to the two figures.
