Pezeshkian congratulates Bangladesh’s new president

Tehran - BORNA - In a congratulatory message, Pezeshkian said the confidence placed in Alamgir by Bangladesh’s legislative institutions and parliamentarians reflected recognition of his commitment, foresight and record in advancing and consolidating democracy.

He expressed hope that Alamgir’s election would usher in “a new chapter of stability, prosperity and progress” for the people of Bangladesh.

“I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm the firm determination of the government and people of Iran to deepen the longstanding and brotherly relations and expand comprehensive bilateral, regional and international cooperation with the People’s Republic of Bangladesh,” Pezeshkian said.

The Iranian president also wished Alamgir success in carrying out his responsibilities and wished the people of Bangladesh peace, prosperity and well-being.
