Araghchi: Latest US economic pressure campaign against Iran ‘doomed to fail’
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has dismissed claims of launching the “most crippling economic operation in history” against Iran, saying the latest pressure campaign is destined to fail like previous efforts.
Tehran - BORNA - In a post on X, Araghchi drew parallels with earlier US policies toward Iran.
“14 years ago: ‘The most crippling sanctions in history.’ Failed.
“8 years ago: ‘Maximum pressure.’ Failed.
“5 months ago: ‘Unconditional surrender.’ Failed.
“Today: ‘The most crippling economic operation in history.’ This, too, is doomed to fail.”
Araghchi added: “We’ve seen this movie before — the same old story, just with different bullies.”
