Ghalibaf: Economic pressure on Iran will boomerang on US
Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Washington’s plan to impose crushing economic pressure on Iran would ultimately boomerang on the United States.
Tehran - BORNA - In a post on X, Ghalibaf shared an image highlighting what he described as the impact of economic pressure on Iran and energy markets on the US economy, while referring to President Donald Trump’s recent efforts to contain rising consumer prices.
“Import frozen beef to control meat prices? Fine, maybe that works,” Ghalibaf wrote.
“But what is your plan for bonds? Import frozen yields?
“For housing, will you import frozen buyers?
“To deal with wages, will you issue frozen paychecks?
“A frozen foreign policy devoid of initiative produces a frozen and stagnant economy.
“The only thing still moving? The Iran boomerang, coming right back at you.”
