Qatar PM meets Araghchi in Tehran
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Thursday.
Tehran - BORNA - The two officials held talks as Araghchi hosted the visiting Qatari delegation.
According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, the visit is taking place within the framework of ongoing consultations between Iran and Qatar aimed at expanding bilateral relations and strengthening regional peace and security.
Baghaei referred to Qatar’s mediation efforts in recent months to help prevent a further escalation of regional tensions following the US and Israeli regime’s military aggression against Iran.
He said the Qatari prime minister would discuss with Iranian officials the continuation of Qatar’s mediation efforts and initiatives, as well as other regional developments.
