Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said diplomacy can be put back on track if the United States recognizes Iran’s rights and honors its commitments, stressing that Washington must understand that pressure will not produce results.

Tehran - BORNA - Following Thursday’s visit to Tehran by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Araghchi wrote on X that the two sides had held “constructive and innovative discussions” in the Iranian capital.

“Getting diplomacy back on track is not impossible,” Araghchi said.

“It depends on the United States understanding one simple reality: pressure does not work. The US must build trust, speak with respect, recognize our rights and honor its commitments,” he added.

The Qatari prime minister’s visit came after recent trips to Tehran by Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi.

Sheikh Mohammed visited Tehran as part of ongoing bilateral engagement and consultations on regional developments.
